Overview
Level 2 represents a critical transition where students move from awareness to action, exploring specific healthcare careers through Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. High school students can earn industry-recognized certifications, gain college credit through dual enrollment, and begin working part-time in healthcare settings.
This level offers multiple pathways: students can complete certification programs (CNA, EMT, Medical Assistant) and enter the workforce immediately, pursue dual enrollment to earn college credit while in high school, or prepare for post-secondary healthcare education through rigorous pre-health curricula.
Program Types Available
CTE Concentrator Programs
Complete 3-4 courses in health science pathway, becoming a CTE concentrator with pathway completion certificate.
Industry Certifications
Earn CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT-Basic, or Phlebotomy certification while still in high school, ready for immediate employment.
Dual Enrollment
Take college courses in anatomy, medical terminology, or healthcare foundations, earning both high school and college credit simultaneously.
Clinical Experiences
Participate in hospital shadowing, clinical rotations, and healthcare internships providing real-world exposure to various careers.
